Hi How’s it Going?

My Name is Ian Lepkowsky and I’m here to recap Game of Thrones Season 7 Episode 2 in 5 minutes or less.

The episode begins with Daenarys deciding that she wants to avoid unnecessary killing and destruction in Westeros because she has no desire to be the “Queen of the Ashes.”

Amidst the discussion, she doubts the loyalty of Varys but ultimately decides to trust him for his internal motivation of being loyal to the common people of Westeros.

Daenerys meets with Melisandre. Varys point out that she led Stannis to his doom but Daenerys’ forgiving mood as well as her memory of the help she received from the Red Priests and Priestesses in the past influence her to give Melisandre a chance.

Melisandre makes a reference to the Prince who was Promised prophecy and it is clarified that in High Valyrion, the noun for Prince has no gender meaning the prophecy is actually Prince or Princess who was promised. She also informs us that she believes the Lord of Light himself desires for Jon Snow and Danerys Targaryen to meet and potentially bang to save Westeros.

Fast forward to Westeros and Jon Snow is ready to make a trip to Dragonstone to meet Danerys after receiving an invitation from Tyrian. Sansa of course disapproves but Jon quells her nagging by agreeing to place her in charge while he is gone. He’s seen the White Walkers first hand despite the obvious risks, for him it would be ridiculous to pass up a chance to acquire a mountains worth of dragon glass as well as the support of fire breathing dragons to slay ice wights.

Cersei continues to desperately look for support with the assistance of her brother Jamie. Yet what puts a smile on her face is the creation of a new metalllic stationary crosswbow that has he ability to pierce a dragon skull. In the test they only fire it from a few feet away so the realt test is how it will fare against a flying fire breathing dragon but Cersei is pleased nonetheless.

Sam Tarly decides to go Rogue Maester and make an attempt to cure Jorah’s Greyscale despite the older grouchier maester advising against it. Basically the cure is brutally ripping, cutting, and tearing off all the skin inflicted with grey scale and then rubbing special lotion on it. Not sure what’s so dangerous about that but it’s definitely disgusting, as was last weeks scene with Sam. This is a pattern of gross we could do without.

Daenerys Targaryen, Olenna Tyrell, Ellaria Sands, Yara Greyjoy and Tyrion Lannister form the rare yet beautiful 4 Women and a Dwarf War Council. They decide to have the Martells and Tyrells lay siege to the capital while the Unsullied take Castelli Rock and Yara will act as an escort ferry service for the Martels.

Grey Worms gets his freak on to the greatest extent possible without the proper equipment as he finally goes down on Missandei after expressing his Love for her.

Arya runs into Hot Pie who informs her that Jon Snow is the King of The North, leaving us to wonder whether she will alter her course to find him or continue to pursue her mission of reaching King’s Landing.

Lord Baelish shows up again to let Jon know that he wants to bang Sansa and Jon Strangles him the same way Ned strangled him shortly before his beheading. Hopefully this isn’t a bad sign for Jon Snow.

Arya has a touching reunion with her dire wolf Nymeria which we further explain in another video.

Lastly, Euron shows up to interrupt the building sexual tension between Yara and Ellaria with death and destruction. His bloodlust and enjoyment of carnage is somewhat reminiscent of Ramsay Bolton which Theon seems to notice as well. Amidst the horror of the battlefield, after killing two Sand Snakes, when Euron captures Yara, theon has a moment where he appears to regress his wreak personality as he abandons his sister and flees into the water.

We see that Ellaria and the remaining Sand Snake have been captured as well.

Perhaps this is what Euron needs to gain Cerseis favor.
